It’s been a while…

Welcome to the new www.juggernaughtmanrock.co.za ! This is our first post in ages. We lost our old domain and this is the new one! This time we’re keeping it simple. One page is all the info you need for now… This feed will keep you updated on any important news.

 

2010 was a busy year for Juggernaught, it saw us grow from strength to strength. We appeared on TV shows, welcomed Angilo into our ranks as our new maestro of the low notes, wrote and recorded a new video and some new music, all while keeping a rigorous touring schedule. 2011 is going to be an even more eventful year for us, new album, video’s and tours in the pipeline, watch this space!

My Daddy’s Land

Juggernaught

Juggernaught are a bunch of hairy, whiskey guzzling, guitar slingin men, who play hairy, whiskey guzzling, guitar slingin music, they combine Classic Rock, Southern Metal, Blues and Rock ‘n Roll into one loud, dirty and very bad ass brew they like to call MAN-ROCK.

Thanks to the diverse influence of the individual members, Juggernaught has an interesting and powerful sound, with lyrics that are steeped in traditional Rock ‘n Roll Mythology and music that is soaked in whiskey and sin. By having a blues rock sound reminiscent of rock bands from the 70’s combined with a more modern and heavier sound of todays popular metal music, Juggernaught have a very wide appeal crossing both genre and generation boundaries which means that they are just as at home playing at a blues festival as they are a metal one.

Over the past two years since their inception they have played over 100 shows around Southern Africa, which include some big festivals like Oppikoppi, Witchfest. Motherfudd and Lucky Fish, as well numerous tours to KZN, Namibia and have just returned from their first full national tour in support of their debut album “ Act of Goat”, which was released in late 2009.

So if you’re looking for some balls to the wall rock n roll, look no further than Southern Africa’s mountain men known as Juggernaught.

Because it ain’t rock till it’s MAN-ROCK!
